How to Get Around

The festival does not provide shuttle service between hotels and festival activities. Some of the hotels provide airport shuttle service, but in order to best experience the festival and our unique area, we strongly encourage a car rental booking through the Harlingen Convention & Visitors Bureau website.

sun-21Weather/What to Pack

Harlingen is in the sub-tropics zone, and fortunately that generally means some sun and warmth! Put in the mix palm trees and blooming butterfly plants, and the Valley offers you a nice November getaway.

The mean temperature is in the 70’s. However, mornings can be cool (50’s) and afternoons can be hot (80’s), so the best clothing strategy: layers, with warm weather layer on bottom. That way you can peel off and adjust as the temp rises through the day. Carry a rain jacket also—it is a variable time of year.
