BIRDER’S BAZAAR

Thursday 12n – 6p

Friday      12n – 6p

Saturday  10a – 6p

Sunday    12n – 4p

Our Birder’s Bazaar, with free admission and open to the public, is much more than just a trade show.  Located within the Municipal Auditorium Complex, it’s The Place to hang out after trips and between seminars.  Shop the unique vendors, selling everything from books to optics to gear to gifts.  Learn about birding hotspots, exotic and local.  Visit the eBird station.  Get your books autographed at authors’ signings.  Bid on great items in the Silent Auction.  Relax at the Kiskadee Kordial.  Get your picture taken with one of The Raptor Project’s many stunning birds of prey, on display during opening hours, or catch one of the many flight shows.  For young and old, novice and experienced, the Birder’s Bazaar is another not-to-be-missed part of Festival fun.

The RAPTOR PROJECT at the RGVBF

Jonathan Wood and his vast collection of stunning hawks, owls, eagles, and falcons are a star attraction of the Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival.  He has appeared on many national TV shows, is a Master Falconer, and a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator.   Along with his wife Susan and his daughter Rachel, the Woods are integral to Festival efforts in reaching our youth and a great addition to the Birder’s Bazaar.  Come on in—get up close and personal, get your picture taken with a majestic bird on your arm, and catch one of the many flight shows, all possible during the Birder’s Bazaar Trade Show.
